Exteroception is defined as being
I have decided to use 'exteroception' as the title for my final piece. This is because my piece is focused on the inclusion of the senses, most notably the senses of smell and touch. My piece features an interactive soft sculpture installation, scented with essential oils. The work is designed to immersive and accessible for those who may not normally get to enjoy artworks properly, such as those with visual impairments.
Since my work is designed to stimulate the senses through external stimuli (sight, touch and smell), I thought 'exteroception' would work well as a title, as it sums up the intentions of the piece in a succint and effective way.
